Telephone services include a suite of technology for analog and digital phone services, including Telephones, voice mail, voice mail Automated Attendants, conference calling, and Automatic Call Distribution (ACD).
All UNM staff, students, faculty, or tenants of a UNM building may submit requests in the Help.UNM support system for telephone services or to move or add telephone services. In some cases, the authorization of a Dean, Director or Department Chair may be necessary to complete the request.
Access to the Billing Portal is limited to Department Chairs and Directors, Administrators, Accountants and their designates. Log ins are available through IT Customer Support Services, as is password reset, and training on navigating the Billing Portal and auditing bills. To obtain access, please submit a request to IT Customer Support Services via Help.UNM . To obtain log in information, a request must be placed via Help.UNM by a Department Chair, Director, Administrator or Accountant. Information on the billing portal is also available within FastInfo and from IT Customer Support Services.
Conferences calls may be scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, except for holidays. Conference calls through our outsourced vendor may be scheduled to take place at anytime. The UNM conference bridge is only available during business hours. No authorization other than providing an index number for billing is required.
The Voice Mail system is accessed by dialing 7-9997 on campus, or 277-9997 from a non-UNM phone. Click here to view the voicemail user guide.
Please provide as much information as possible regarding the extension numbers, types of phones, and old and new locations when requesting a move, add or change.
Monthly Recurring Telephone Charge: UNM Departments: $22.50/mo + $5/mo for voice mail UNM Partners, Tenants, and Vendors: $38.50/mo Voice Mail included One-time Installation Charge: $115 (not including any cabling installation charges) +$5 to install Voice Mail Telephone Moves and Adds are $115 each plus any required cabling or jack installation charges. A UNM Banner index is REQUIRED on each request for billing purposes. Telephone programming changes are made at the rate of $80/hr. Work performed after hours or on weekends will bill at an overtime rate.

Long Distance charges apply when using the UNM conference bridge. Fees for the outsourced service are billed at 11 cents per minute per participant.
