Hardware and Software Purchasing     

Overview

Purchasing consultation services are provided free of charge to UNM departments purchasing standard hardware systems. UNM Departments may purchase standard hardware via LoboMart. Watch this short instructional Dell Byte training clip for more information.

Students, faculty and staff may purchase standard hardware for personal use directly from Dell. Students, faculty and staff may purchase Dell consumer line hardware at the UNM Bookstore. Apple hardware may also be purchased at the UNM Bookstore. These workstations do not fall under the UNM Workstation Managed Systems Service.



Getting Started

E-mail Hardware Maintenance or call 277-8098.Software Distribution will only accept faculty, staff, and department software orders through LoboMart, which streamlines the ordering process. Please have your department representative log in to LoboMart and requisition your order. Contact Software Distribution at 277-8122 or email swdist@unm.edu.



Fees

Warranty hardware support for standard Dell and Apple systems is provided free of charge on a carry in basis, a delivery charge is applied to on site warranty service. Post warranty hardware support is provided on a time and materials basis, including parts and $60/hr for labor.

Software license fees vary. Please see the software price list online. Specialized or non-standard software support will require a fee based on evaluation to determine the feasibility of support.

How to Get Support

Workstation Management is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Staff may be out on service calls, please call prior to visiting the department to ensure staff are available. Help.UNM is available to create help requests. Software Distribution Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. 277-8122.
