Conference Services

Information Technologies can provide support for conferences sponsored by UNM faculty, staff or student groups. Fees charged are based on the services provided. IT recommends scheduling conferences during semester breaks, when they will have less impact on normal University operations.

Contact Joseph Quintero before you begin planning your event so that IT will be better prepared to accommodate your needs.

Available Services

Computer Accounts

IT will coordinate conference attendees' access to their own computer accounts through IT facilities. IT can also set up temporary NetIDs for attendees to use for the duration of the conference.

IT pods and classrooms can be scheduled for workshops, conferences and training sessions during semester breaks only, when regular classes, facilities upgrades and other events are not scheduled.

Attendees will have access to UNM computing resources and online documentation. The costs associated with opening, monitoring and closing the facility will be included in the fee.

Clients not affiliated with UNM who are attending workshops, conferences and training in IT computer classrooms and pods may purchase a Xerox copy and print card at Zimmerman Library to access the print release stations for any necessary printing.

IT does not currently have Xerox copy and print card dispensers in classrooms and pods.

IT can install any special software required for conference use at IT facilities.

Note: Conference coordinators are responsible for purchasing special software and must provide IT with the software four months in advance of the event for installation and testing.
