Beginning October 29th, affected Faculty & Staff will receive an email in their Webmail mailbox telling them that their new LoboMail account has been activated, and providing instructions on how to log in.

You are encouraged to prepare for the new email system by attending a LoboMail Information Session or attending a LoboMail 101 training class. Go to the LoboMail Information site for a complete listing of times and locations. You may also view screenshots and "getting started" guides posted at the LoboMail Information site.

This year, UNM is replacing its Webmail system with a more powerful and flexible email tool called LoboMail. In August, student accounts were migrated, and during the month of October, most staff, faculty, and retiree accounts will follow (see the following exceptions).

Exceptions

  1. If you have a GroupWise user account with an @unm.edu email address, your Webmail will be moved to LoboMail later this fall, and you will receive a notice prior to this happening.
  2. All HSC users have both an @salud.unm.edu and an @unm.edu email address. If you are at the HSC and are not a UNMH/UNMMG/SRMC employee, your @unm.edu email will be moved to LoboMail beginning October 29, 2012. Additionally, you will receive information about any auto-forward you may have on your account. You will receive information about moving your @salud.unm.edu email to the new system at a later date.
  3. If you are a UNMH, UNMMG or SRMC employee, you will receive more information about your @unm.edu email account in the near future.
