ServiceNow

The new IT Service Management (ITSM) tool, ServiceNow, represents a transformative step forward for UNM IT and the entire university community. Designed to replace the legacy system, this modern platform streamlines how students, faculty, and staff request and receive IT support. For UNM IT, it introduces a more efficient, ITIL-aligned framework for managing incidents, service requests, change processes, and knowledge content. For the university at large, it delivers a user-friendly self-service portal with real-time ticket tracking, smarter search, and mobile accessibility. This upgrade not only enhances the quality and speed of IT support but also strengthens transparency, accountability, and collaboration across departments, ensuring that technology services evolve in step with the needs of the UNM community.

Knowlegebase

Visitors without a UNM NetID will only see publicly available knowledge articles. Users who log in with a valid NetID will gain access to the broader UNM Knowledgebase, which includes university-wide IT resources and guidance. Additionally, users with the IT role have access to the Internal IT knowlegebase. This tiered access ensures that everyone from the general public to IT professionals can find the information they need, while protecting sensitive or role-specific content.

What is a NetID? Your UNM NetID and Password are your keys to access many of UNM's online services.  All UNM Students, Faculty and Staff (as well as some affiliates) are eligible for UNM NetID.
