UNM IT Academic Technologies
Academic Technologies, a unit of UNM IT, supports students, faculty and staff in classrooms and computer labs with tools and technologies. We provide online services and processes to promote effective communication, teaching and learning.

Our Partners
Academic Technologies collaborates with units reporting to the Office of the Provost including:

We also partner with departments across campus to provide teaching and learning tools online and in classrooms and computer labs.
The Academic Technologies Advisory Board works with UNM’s IT Governance Council to ensure proper support and strategic alignment of technologies that enhance the quality and reach of UNM teaching and learning programs. The Faculty Senate IT Use Committee chair is a member of the Advisory Board, providing an important conduit for faculty input on education technologies.
Canvas Management & Integrations
- UNM Canvas Learning Management System - The enterprise learning management system used to develop and deliver academic courses at UNM
- Canvas 3rd Party Tools - Tools that integrate with UNM Canvas (i.e., My Shelf for bookstore course materials, Turnitin Similarity plagiarism detection, Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor, Zoom, Kaltura, multiple publisher integrations, and more). See link for complete list.

Learning Environments Technologies (Classroom Support)
- Classroom Technology Support - Design, maintenance, and training for technology in classrooms and computer labs. See IT Learning Environments page for complete list services.
- Digital Signage - Design, installation, and training for digital signs using campus wide digital signage system.
- Student Laptop Checkout - Semester long checkout of UNM owned and managed Windows and Apple laptops to current students. Available on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Makerspace Services - Access to makerspace technologies including video production studio, touchscreen displays, and 3D printing (coming soon!).

Media & Collaborative Applications
- Zoom & Zoom Webinars - Zoom for Faculty, Students, and Staff with a NetID.
- Adobe Creative Campus - Adobe Creative Cloud available to all University persons.
- MediaSpace - Kaltura is UNM’s enterprise-grade video management and streaming platform.
Scoring, Surveys & Evaluations
- Course Feedback - Course Feedback is the campus-wide service used by students to provide end of term feedback to faculty.
- Esurvey - Electronic survey platform for University business, research, and academic needs.
- Qualtrics - Qualtrics Research & Insights Software is a survey solution usable by everyone across campus.
- Loboscore - Loboscore is UNM’s Scantron test scoring service.
